The length control unit LCCU allows performing:
- Slack – test experiments
- Stretch – release experiments
- Constant velocity release
The release velocity and the stretch velocity are adjusted individually (between 1mm/s – 1000mm/s. The zero start-position can be adjusted allowing releases/stretches up to 7mm. The unit is controlled by the software MUSCLEDATA or by the Motor Action Control unit. For slack – test experiments the Anti Oscillation unit (see below) is required, for the other experiments it is recommended.

Vibration unit VIBU allows performing
- Vibration experiments (10Hz – 1000Hz)
The unit is controlled by the software MUSCLEDATA or by the Motor Action Control unit.

Constant Load unit COLU allows performing
- Isotonic releases of tonically or tetanically contracting muscle. The force jump is performed within 10ms.
The unit is controlled by the software MUSCLEDATA or by the Motor Action Control unit. The experiment requires the Anti Oscillation unit (see below) |
 |
Anti Oscillation unit AOSU: The unit deprives the resonance oscillation of the force transducer. It is required for slack – test experiments and for isotonic releases. For all other experiments including rapid length changes of the preparation evoked by the linear motor it is recommended. |
