| Equipment for the measurement of the intracellular Calcium with FURA |
 The FURA measuring system can be easily adapted to ZEISS or OLYMPUS inverted microscopes.The ultra-fast wavelength changer HSWES changes the fluorescence exciting light from one wavelength to the other within 75µs. The exciting light is fed into the microscope with the excitation light adapter. The excitation light intensity monitor measures the excitation light intensity. The photomultiplier detects FURA fluorescence intensity. Dividing the FURA signal by the monitor signal deprives intensity fluctuations of the light source. A signal sorter unit sorts the fluorescence signal (already divided by the monitor signal) into two DC channels corresponding to the two excitation wavelength.. The system can be operated with the data acquisition system DAS or with any other data acquisition system. |
