Performing high sensitivity force measurements:
The shape of surface of the incubation solution is held constant. This minimizes changes in the action of the surface tension on the force measurement allowing the measurement of very small forces.
Performing gradient experiments:
The volume of the incubation solution is held constant. Controlling the solution amount delivered by the "master" pump allows performing gradient experiment.
The control of the gradient experiment can be carried out by the program GRADIENT of the data acquisition system DAS.
