Cuvette system

Perfusion cuvette system PERVS and PERVSCOOLED:

PERVS1

The perfusion of the cuvette is brought about by a roller pump
The cuvette has a volume depending on the desired preparation length:
For up to 32mm long preparations 1.5ml
For up to 6mm long preparation 0.5ml
The system PERVS is heated only using the temperature control TC2 or DOUBLETC.
The system PERVSCOOLED is heated or cooled using the temperature control TC3 or DOUBLETC.
TCHS1

Two chamber cuvette system TCHS and TCHSCOOLED

The cuvette system contains two chambers. Within one chamber the muscle preparation is mounted. Within the other chamber the incubation solution is oxygenated. A dosage valve controlling the oxygen flow is included. The total volume of the cuvette system is 5ml, maximum preparation length 24mm. A teflon made inset is available.
The system TCHS is heated only using the temperature control TC2 or DOUBLETC.
The system TCHSCOOLED is heated or cooled using the temperature control TC3 or DOUBLETC.
VAC1

Vacuum System VAC

The two chamber cuvette can be delivered with a vacuum system
Vacuum system VAC for rapid and convenient solution change
A complete solution change is performed within approximately 5s. A pre-warming loop adapts the temperature of the injected solution to the temperature of cuvette system.

CUVWIND1

Cuvette System CUVWIND

For the detection of intracellular Ca by FURA and for the sarcomere length detection by laser a cuvette with side windows is required
This cuvette system is available as perfusion cuvette system CUVWINDPERV or as two chamber system CUVWINDTCH
The two chamber system can be delivered with the vacuum system VAC
mkt2

Multi vessel table MKT2 (for skinned preparations)

The table carries 10 cuvette vessels (Teflon troughs) Elevating the table guides it such, that the preparation is surely immersed into one of the cuvettes.
A parking position allows easy mounting of the preparation.
A stirrer motor can be integrated into the table. It keeps it´s position, when the table is horizontally moved in order to change the preparation into another trough: It is always the trough stirred, in which the preparation is located.
For temperature control the cuvette holder can be perfused by means of an external temperature bath.
CUVPERF

Perfusion Cuvette System CUVPERF for Ca-gradient experiments obtaining the pCa-force relationship:

One perfusion pump pumps continuously solution into the cuvette. A laser controls the level of the solution and drives pump two (slave pump) such, that the solution level is kept constant.
The cuvette system can be temperature controlled by TC2 (34°C - 40°C) or by TC3 (0°C - 40°C).
The System can be equipped with a stirrer.
The system is mounted on the cuvette table MKT1.
The sarcomere length detection units SARCSCR and SARCCAM can be integrated.
The system is controlled by the data acquisition system DAS running the program GRADIENT.
TC2

Temperature Control between 30°C and 42°C TC2

The regulator unit for the temperature control is adjustable between 30°C and 42°C.
This temperature control system can be applied to all cuvette systems
TC3

Temperature Control between 0°C and 42°C TC3

The regulator unit for the temperature control is adjustable between 0°C and 42°C. This control requires the Peltier cooler.
This temperature control system can be applied to all cuvette systems
DOUBLETC

Double Temperature control for medium fast temperature jump experiments DOUBLETC

The regulator operates two cuvette systems, one exclusively heated (30 - 42°C), the other cooled and heated (0° - 42°C).
The corresponding cuvette systems are mounted on a carriage, which allows changing the incubation solution within 2s.
PC1

Peltier Cooler PC

Using the temperature control system BAM11COOL both, cooling and heating of the cuvette system is brought about by Peltier elements. The counter cooling of the Peltier elements is performed by the Peltier colling system.
